In line with the governments
priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing
support for children and young people who are looked after, Kirklees CAMHS are
looking to re-develop our service offer and to collaborate closer with the
local authoritys Children Looked After team.
We have received investment to re-structure our Children Looked After
mental health team and have developed a new post of team manager. The ideal candidate would be a Registered
Mental Health Practitioner (NMC, HCPC) or Registered Social Worker (SWE).

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would manage a small team of health care professionals and deliver evidence-based therapy to a small case load of looked after children.
You would work with both the management structure within CAMHS and the management team within the local authority to meet set outcomes of interventions for looked after children and their carers within Kirklees.
An understanding of working with vulnerable young people and the structures around delivering mental health interventions is essential as is an understanding of working within a multi-disciplinary team. For further details on this role please contact Richard Shaw on 07867142592.
