Our Neighbourhood Nursing Service provides a wide range of nursing care
to housebound patients, including wound management, chronic disease management,
promotion of self-care, terminal and palliative care, and the administration of
IV antibiotics to prevent hospital admissions. You will work as part of an
integrated care team, maintaining high-quality, effective nursing care in the
community.

Main duties of the job
As
a Community Staff Nurse, you will work alongside the District Nurse to provide
nursing care primarily within patients homes, while also participating in
clinic sessions. You will undertake comprehensive assessments of patients care
needs and develop personalised care plans as part of a wider multi-disciplinary
team.
Enthusiasm
and the ability to use your own initiative are essential, along with good
written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your time
effectively.
You
will need the ability to work both as part of a team and as a lone worker,
along with a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential to undertake
any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post.
You
will be allocated to a specific Neighbourhood, but flexibility is essential as
you may be required to work across the service and move bases when needed. The
service operates 8am 8pm, 7 days per week.
