Band 4 Freedom of Information
(FOI) /Administrative Supervisor 30 hours per week (internal only)
This is an excellent
opportunity for an experienced administrator or IG professional to take a lead
role in supporting our statutory duties under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA). You will coordinate the FOI process from start to finish, ensure deadlines
are met, and provide high-quality oversight of the IG administrative function.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage and coordinate all
FOI requests, ensuring timely and compliant responses
Liaise with teams across the
Trust to gather accurate information
Draft clear, well-structured
FOI responses
Supervise administrative
processes within the IG Team
Support staff in maintaining
high standards of IG compliance and record-keeping
Contribute to IG awareness
and training activities.
Training will be provided in
Freedom of information and Information Governance processes.

Main duties of the job
Undertake
delegated duties under the supervision of the Data Protection Officer.
Consulting as necessary and working collaboratively to deliver a comprehensive
service information governance service to the Trusts, its patients, staff and
members of the public.
Provide
services within well-established policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines,
whilst acting within the required sphere of competences for the role at all
times.
Work
in partnership with others;
Demonstrate
sound knowledge of the service to enable the post holder to contribute and
inform decision making within the service.
Supervise
and delegate work to Admin/secretarial staff, participate in their induction,
training, appraisal etc.
May
be required to work in challenging environments which could include lone
working and conflict resolution.
Undertake and maintain the required
statutory, mandatory and core training as required by the specific area of
service..
