The Trust is seeking a
motivated and detail oriented Clinical Coder and Administrator to join our
Information Governance Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in
ensuring accurate clinical coding and providing hight-quality administrative
support to maintain smooth day to day operations with the practice.
This role will be perfect for
an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who has a passion for detail, is
organised, precise and committed to maintaining high standards of data quality
and patient care.
The candidate must
have undertaken a Clinical Coding Standard course and be willing to work
towards becoming ACC qualified within a 2 year period.
At the time of advertising,
this role does not meet the minimum requirements (salary threshold or

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Coder, you'll work as a member of a team to provide an
efficient clinical coding service working to established systems and
procedures. You'll join a friendly and supportive team to accurately translate
patient records into coded data using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.10 classifications.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Reading
and interpreting clinical documentation from patient records
Applying
accurate ICD-10 and OPCS-4.10 codes in line with national standards and local
policies
Working
with clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality data
Participating
in coding audits and feedback sessions
Contributing
to a culture of learning, accuracy and consistency
This data plays a crucial role in patient care planning,
research, audit and funding.
