Job summary
Part time - 21 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic team player to join our Mental Health Liaison Team as a Consultant and Team Secretary This is a varied and rewarding admin position with a friendly and busy team.
This position will require you to be based at Barnsley Hospital, within the Mental Health Liaison Team.
The successful candidate will be able to work without direct supervision, display initiative, have good organisational skills and relevant typing qualifications/skills, prioritise their workload in order to meet deadlines, maintain and record electronic records and always ensure confidentiality, whilst providing admin support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and Team.
Alongside providing administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and Team, you must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and have the ability to deal with a variety of situations. You must have the skills to promptly and efficiently deal with enquiries from, Barnsley Hospital staff and wider mental health services.
Must be able to undertake all appropriate Trust mandatory training requirements, and subsequent refresher training relevant to the area and be willing to undergo job development and training to maintain their skills.

Main duties of the job
Duties will be varied and will include carrying out duties such as diary management, minute taking, checking and sending out letters, dissemination of information messages and enquires and keeping office information up-to-date.
The successful candidate should possess excellent customer service.
This role is part of a wider Admin Team at the Intensive Home Based Treatment Team. It is crucial to be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team. You must have an ability to be flexible and a willingness to adapt to change in order to meet the demands of the post. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have good interpersonal skills.
Good general organised administrative skills to follow admin processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy is essential and be able to prioritise your own workload and experience of electronic clinical systems are advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
