Full-Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week
An exciting opportunity has
arisen to join the management team who provide leadership, development and
support to the Barnsley Talking Therapies team.
Your work will include the day
to running of the team alongside management colleagues and to promote the teams
goals, as well as have opportunities to focus on your own goals towards
increasing skills and career development.
You will have input managing
the teams budget and supporting the team to meet the set national and local
Talking Therapies targets.
You will engage regularly with
team members to help develop skills and manage workloads effectively, along
with identifying and working towards the development of the service as a whole.
You will need to have a
flexible, compassionate approach to leadership and be confident of working
independently and within a team.

Main duties of the job
Maintain a high standard of clinical work
within the PWP team, by role modelling good practice and providing skilled and
evidence-based case management.
Positively promote the services that Barnsley NHS
Talking Therapies offer to the local community by ensuring attendance at local
events and professional meetings.
Maintain the digital
presence of Barnsley NHS Talking Therapies by monitoring and improving social
media sights.

The Post holder will be responsible
for the effective day to day delivery of integrated community mental health
services within the designated team area.
The post holder will be responsible
for the day to day management of resources and staff employed by both SWYPFT
and integrated partners with agreed permissions framework to act in conjunction
with service managers for both health and social services.
The post holder will be expected to
have strong clinical and leadership skills and be responsible for ensuring the
delivery of quality community mental health services.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
The Team Leader
will manage allocated resources on behalf of the trust and local authority to
ensure that fundamentals of care are delivered.
- Provide day to day
management of all staff within the community team including sickness and
absence monitoring, conduct and performance etc.
- Ensure that team
resources are deployed appropriately to meet the day to day demands on the
service.
- Ensure service provision
meets the individual needs of service users and their carers within the
personalisation, prevention and recovery agenda.
- Ensure that the service
observes the legal and philosophical requirements of national legislative
frameworks.
- Monitor the quality and
appropriateness of service provision.
- Monitor team budgets and
take measures to ensure that they remain within agreed establishments, alerting
the budget holder of current or expected budget pressures.
- In conjunction with the
local funding agreements, authorise appropriate use of community care budgets
to purchase community care packages which have been developed thorough quality
assessment and care planning process.
- Ensure the provision of supervision
and caseload management for team members in line with appropriate line
management structure.
- Ensure staff management
and appraisal systems are implemented and monitored as required by the trust
and local authority.
