Full Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the physiotherapy team in Mental Health based at Kendray Hospital.
We provide an in and outpatient rehabilitation service for patients with a wide-ranging variety of mental health conditions. The successful candidate will also be working alongside the well-established team with a varied caseload of patients who have a physical and mental health diagnosis seen in their own homes, residential homes, and nursing homes.
Your role will include assisting in service development and development projects as we strive to transform and modernise patient care. Evidence of ongoing CPD will be expected.
We have a strong commitment to staff training and development, supervision, and CPD. We regularly take undergraduate students on placement.

Main duties of the job
If successful, you will be responsible for the assessment and provision of a specialised programme of rehabilitation meeting the specific needs and agreed goals of your patients to facilitate their rehabilitation and optimise recovery potential. You will work in close liaison with the wider MDT, Memory Services, and other community therapy areas. You will require excellent communication and time management skills. Experience gained through student placements or core rotations at band 5 level is essential, though it is not necessary to have done a specific mental health placement/rotation.
The service operates Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8.45 - 4.45. We are a supportive therapy team that work closely with the wider MDT. We adopt a recovery-based approach using evidence-based interventions and professional models of working to inform our practice and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. A range of 1:1 interventions and therapeutic groups are provided.
