A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology department at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust. We are looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join our Ophthalmology Admin Team to assist with booking appointments for complex pathways.
This is a part time opportunity based at 22.5 hours a week.
The post-holder will be
required to deliver effective and competent levels of administration support
and consistently deliver a client-focused service which promotes good
customer service and effective working relationships within the team and in
line with Trust core values and behaviours.

and outside the organisation.
- Demonstrates ability to use Microsoft, Medisoft, the
trust Patient Administration system and other IT system choosing the most
appropriate IT solution to manage patients appointments within the service.
- Dealing with enquiries, complaints, comments and
suggestions in a pleasant and helpful manner in accordance with policy. Communicating relevant information to
stakeholders including supervisor; manager; and clinical team and understand
when to escalate to an appropriate manager
- Deal with all complaints, comments and suggestions
appropriately in accordance with policy, resolving where possible and
escalating to an appropriate manager when required.
- Produce accurate records processing documents, letters
emails and reports as required.
- Able to work on own initiative, exercising proactivity
and good judgement making appropriate recommendations for improvements.
- Managing own time demonstrating a flexible/adaptable
approach to own work taking responsibility for completing work successfully to
meet deadlines.
