Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a part time post (21 hours per
week) within the Plastic Surgery Department Gate 28 & 28c. You will be
working alongside Plastic Surgeons and other Nursing staff to run the day to
day activities of the Ward and Assessment Unit.
You will be one of 3 Band 6 Nurses within these areas of the
department.
Main duties of the job
As a shift leader you will take charge of day to day
decision making on behalf & in the best interests of the patients to ensure
all their needs are met.
You will work 11.5 hour shifts directly looking after
patients on the ward or Assessment unit.
You with advise, support and guide Registered Nurses,
Nursing associates and Healthcare assistants within your team.
You will deputise for the Department Manager in her absence.
You will take part in Investigations, Audits, Sickness
management, Roster reviews, Surgical staffing on call bleep.
