Job summary
The post holder will be required to become skilled in the
National NHS e-Referral Service (eRS) and the associated outpatient
administrative pathway from receipt to outcome to provide support to the NHS e-Referral
Service Lead for the Trust.
Using project methodology and tools the post holder will be
required to create a project plan and supporting paperwork to formally document
the Directory of Services (DoS) review.
The post holder will co-ordinate and participate in first
review meetings with Patient Service Manager and Head of Clinical Service to review
their DoS and following first review, co-ordinate and lead follow up meetings
to finalise the DoS.
Working with the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead the post holder
will support the development of the eRS Professional Training Strategy and
undertake delivery all eRS Training within Access Booking and Choice and the
wider Trust.
Working with the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead the post holder
will support the development of the eRS Competency Framework. eRS competency
assessments will be delivered by the Assistant NHS eRS Lead, supported by the Trust
wide NHS eRS Lead.
The post holder will support the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead
to write, update and amend Standard Operating Procedures for the e-Referral Service
and work with all the users to implement.
The post holder will support the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead
in the internal Operational eRS meeting and the Local Provider Network Meetings
Main duties of the job
Build up knowledge of the whole functionality of the NHS e-Referral Service.To have a good understanding of the 18 Referral To Treatment target and Urgent Suspected Cancer target and their associated rules. Supporting the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead regarding future eRS Functionality Changes to ensure robust testing is undertaken to support the Impact Analysis Report. To ensure relevant Trust SOP, Guidelines and Process Flows are implemented, maintained, monitored and reviewed. To support in the development and delivery of the eRS Competency Framework (CF) working alongside the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead. Ensure eRS CF is aligned to eRS functionality changes and annual reviews of each staff member are undertaken. Responsible for drawing up a project plan with roll out dates to identify when services are due for a follow up of their Directory of Service (DOS) review. Arrange and actively participate in meetings with patient services manager, heads of clinical services and other clinical and managerial staff for a first review of the DOS. Amend and build new DOS under the supervision of the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead in line with relevant SOPs and Guidelines. Work alongside the Trust wide NHS eRS Lead in reviewing eRS workgroups and assigned roles on eRS and take responsibility for their continued maintenance. Arrange and lead in meetings with patient services manager, heads of clinical services and other clinical and managerial staff for a follow up review of the DOS
