Job summary
The Stroke Database
Administration Assistant works within the stroke team to ensure patient
information, pathways and outcomes and are correctly recorded on the national
stroke database (SSNAP) system. This will provide quality information about
patients with stroke across all three hospital sites, which will allow
improvement planning to ensure the best quality service to the patients of Mid
Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Data monitoring and analysis skills will be used
to produce relevant and accurate information reports. The post will be a key
point of contact for professionals within the stroke team, as well as senior
management teams within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Daily data input into the stroke database to
ensure an accurate and live capture of information.
To perform complex database queries as requested
in order to produce reports.
Liaising with a variety of staff, including
clinicians, managers and administration staff.
Identifying areas of development to assist users
in getting it right first time.
To ensure validity and integrity of all data
collected.
To adhere to the Data Protection Act.
To ensure relevant Trust policies are
implemented, maintained, monitored and reviewed across all sites.
To respond to ad hoc and regular requests for
reports as determined by the Stroke Management Group.
To actively participate in meetings relating to
SSNAP data.
To deputise for the Stroke Register
Administrator when required.
Any other duties/responsibilities as delegated
by the manager as deemed appropriate to the role.
