A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our highly motivated and compassionate team.
Gate 27 (ARCU) at Pinderfields Hospital is a busy higher acuity Respiratory Unit accommodating 14 patients. It is a fast paced and acute environment treating with with people in Type 1 and Type 2 respiratory failure requiring 24/7 constant monitoring with a 1 RN to 3 patient ratio.
Our patient demographic are patients requiring Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV), Nasal High Flow (NHF) and patients with laryngectomies, tracheostomies, chest drains and those requiring close monitoring.
We work closely with many teams including our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Deteriorating Adult Response Team (DART) and our Pinderfields Emergency Respiratory Team (PERT) to ensure our patients receive optimum care.
Whilst experience in Respiratory is desirable we are committed to nurturing and developing registered nurses or newly qualified nurses.
All successful applicants will be given a fully tailored training package and a generous supernumerary period and will be fully supported by our Clinical Respiratory Educator.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team to provide safe, effective and high quality care for our service users.

As part of the G27 team you will be focused on excellent patient care by assessing, implementing and evaluating an individual tailored package of care to each patient.
You will be a team player but also someone who can work independently and work well under pressure. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be motivated with a willingness to learn.
