An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our newly
established West Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy in the role of
the Academy Business Manager.
The role will be responsible for the development, subsequent
direction and day-to-day operational management of the West Yorkshire Endoscopy
Training Academy. The post holder will develop a programme of learning
for Endoscopy training and will be responsible for overseeing the development,
delivery and quality assurance of endoscopy training across the West Yorkshire
ICS.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the
curriculum as defined by the West Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy Steering
Group, working closely with the Academy Clinical Director and Administrator in
the delivery of the service.
In the initial phase of the role, the post holder will be
responsible for developing and implementing the processes and structure of West
Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy across the Trusts within the West
Yorkshire ICS.
Having established and embedded the structure, the post
holder will be responsible for maintaining and managing the delivery of the
endoscopy-training curriculum across West Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy .

Main duties of the job
This role is open to a manager who would like to direct and
develop a program of learning for a regional Endoscopy training.
The post holder will support with the development and
coordination a of endoscopy training across West Yorkshire.
The post holder will work closely with the Academy clinical
director and administrator.
The Business Manager supports the Patient Service Manager in
maintaining and enhancing the clinical and business standing and opportunities
within the West Yorkshire Training Academy.
A key aspect of the role is to work alongside the endoscopy
management team to deliver the West Yorkshire regional endoscopy training centre-coordinating
training across West Yorkshire acting as a central point of contact for the
departmental business hub.
Duties will include Coordination and planning, finance and
business development while maintaining internal and external relationships. The
role is instrumental in facilitating business improvement and development.

- Work with all WYAAT acute trust to organise / monitor and coordinate endoscopy training for medical and clinical Endoscopist.
- Support and coordinate specific project work on behalf of the West Yorkshire Training Academy, working with the service to create and maintain effective project management plans, analysing key data and providing options for consideration at speciality and divisional level.
- Actively seek to identify, recommend and implement improvements within complex services, needing a comparison of a range of options which are highly focussed on quality and patient safety.
- Provide management support to the endoscopy training team, attending and contributing to monthly business meetings.
- Provide and receive complex business continuity plans, and ensure that business continuity plans for the regional endoscopy training are in place and are regularly updated.
- Support the Clinical Service Manager to manage and coordinate endoscopy training.
- Contribute to and propose development of policies within the service.
- Support the design and maintenance of the departmental SharePoint pages.
- Develop and coordinate the complex Training Academy business hub,
- Act as a key influencer within the Training Academy business hub, negotiating with clinical and non-clinical colleagues. To provide assurance of quality relating to the business performance and financial management across Training Academy business hub.
- Support the departmental annual forward planning process.
- Participate in the quality improvement programme
- Develop and sustain good relationships and work closely with other divisions / departments.
