Job summary
We are
currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated person for our band 2 Ward
Clark Admin post for 27 hours per week on ward 5/6 at Dewsbury District Hospital.
DDH
The
hours are x3 9-hour shifts working set days which will be Wednesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays.
Ward 5/6
is a Stroke and Neurology Rehabilitation ward caring for 28 patients
following their acute recovery from strokes and other neurological
conditions.
If you have
any experience in any kind of Admin/ward Clark work and are familiar with systems,
such has E Camis PPM+ ETC then this may be an exciting opportunity for you.
Ward
5/6 at DDH is a newly renovated ward decorated to a high standard and is an
all-purpose built rehabilitation ward.
Do you
have excellent communication skills, Admin skills and a commitment to assist
the team to provide a tidy and organised environment. As a ward Clark you
will be the most go to person on the ward you will always be visible and kept

Main duties of the job
The role will include the following duties:
Provide admin support to the ward
Maintain a real time bed state by updating in house systems
support patient flow by booking transport as requested either for discharge or attending appointments
Relieve clinical staff of general administrative procedures where appropriate
Act as receptionist to patients, visitors and answer phones
Manage patients notes during admission and following discharge

- To work as part of a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary team providing a range of administration and clerical services.
- Provide an efficient customer service, dealing with enquiries from Patients, and their families, Medical Staff, and all members of the wider Multi-Disciplinary team
- Effectively utilise the Trusts information systems.
- Be aware of Performance Targets relevant to the Service Area.
- Undertake appropriate problem solving within areas of responsibility.
- Ensure that all clinical support staff aware of any changes within the Trusts information systems as and when required.
- Act as Super user for the Trusts information systems.
- Arrange any follow-up appointments required with the Consultant on Discharge.
- Arranging appropriate transportation of patients for attendance at relevant department.
