Below are a few things that are important to us as a team just in case it helps you making your decision to join our team.

  • We spend a lot of time together so we try to look after each other
  • We try to find room for some laughter at work
  • We support hybrid working some home working and sometime in the office as a team.
  • We always try to balance home and work - meeting appraisal objectives is important but so is making it to the school play, attending a drumming lesson, executing the next world book day costume or supporting your football team (whoever they are!) - insert what is most important to you here.

Main duties of the job

As an HR Business Partner you will provide leadership to one of our Divisional HR Teams. Your main role will be as an intrinsic and proactive member of one of the Senior Divisional Teams, giving professional and best practice advice.

You will also contribute to interesting and innovative strategic HR projects where you will have the opportunity to think outside of the box.

This is no doubt a challenging time for the NHS but as a team we are growing our capacity and shaping ourselves to meet this challenge and to ensure that we can support our workforce to continue to deliver excellent patient care, each and every time.

Shortlist for the role will take place week commencing 18th March 2024 and assessment process planned for the subsequent week. The assessment process will test candidates technical skills, ability to present self with the business and key skills associated with the role of HRBP. Specific details of the assessment will be given prior to interview if you are successfully shortlisted.

We look forward to receiving your application!

About us

We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).

Always striving for excellence, we are at the forefront of innovation and research, and we invest in teaching and the development of our workforce.

We live by our values of caring, improving, being respectful and maintaining high standards. We listen and learn because we aim to make Mid Yorkshire the best place to work and receive care.

We value diversity and welcome talent and enthusiasm irrespective of age, disability, neurodivergence, sex, gender identity and gender expression, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or other personal circumstances including providing unpaid carers support to someone with a health and care need. As ethnic minority groups, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people with a disability/neurodivergence are currently under-represented across the organisation, we encourage applications from members of these groups. We have policies and procedures to ensure all applicants are treated fairly and consistently.

We are proud of our staff networks - who offer valuable guidance and feedback from those with lived experience.

We have a clear vision and you could be part of this! If you share our values and you want to make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families and carers, we would love to hear from you.
