Job summary

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic and skilled Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team at the Yorkshire Regional Spinal Injuries Centre. Our centre provides lifelong care for individuals with spinal cord injuries across the Yorkshire and Humber region, offering a stimulating environment to work within acute rehabilitation. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance skills and contribute to high-quality care.

As a core member of a well-established multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside medical staff, nursing teams, OT's, Psychologists, and other professionals. The role involves supporting patients and their families throughout their hospital journey, and you will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, organisational, and team-working skills.

In addition to providing outstanding patient care, this role offers opportunities for professional development, including research and service development initiatives. You will be supported in growing your expertise in the assessment and management of spinal cord injury patients in an acute rehabilitation setting.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality physiotherapy input for individuals with spinal cord injuries in an acute rehabilitation setting.

Work collaboratively within an MDT to deliver person-centred care.

Support patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.

Contribute to service development and research initiatives.
