Come and work on our popular and varied Band 5 Physiotherapy rotations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and knowledge, in a supportive environment.
The 6 month rotations are in the following clinical specialties, based over our 3 hospital sites and community setting.
- Outpatients/MSK including the gym, pool and Rheumatology
- Regional spinal injury unit
- Regional burns unit
- Hands and plastics
- Trauma / Orthopaedics / Amputees
- Paedatrics
- Neurology including acute stroke ward and neuro rehab
- Elderly complex care wards
- Respiratory including ICU and Non-invasive ventilation
- Surgery/Haematolgy and cardiology
- Community therapy, MY Therapy Team
- A & E / acute assessment and frailty assessment areas
In-patients services work across 7 days and a flexible approach is required to meet the challenges in each speciality. You would be assigned an experienced clinical practitioner for regular supervision and support as well as working within experienced and well established teams. We offer preceptorship support throughout your first year of practice.
The successful candidates will be expected to be part of the evening on-call respiratory service rota and ideally must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
Candidates must be able to start work in Spring 2025 as there is an expectations of an immediate start date. The post may close to applications prior to the advertised closing date if too many applications are received.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a team providing a high
standard of physiotherapy care across all sites to the local populations Mid
Yorkshire Hospitals serve and regionally within our specialist centres.

To participate in the rotational scheme which
involves working across general out-patients, hands/plastics, orthopaedics,
medical and surgical wards, specialist rehabilitation units, paediatrics, MY
therapy, critical care, stroke and neurology, respiratory services, spinal
injuries, burns and care of the elderly.
