Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and innovative Specialist Grade in
Emergency & Urgent Care (Equivalent to General Practitioner with Specialist
Interest in Emergency & Urgent Care) to work in the Emergency and Urgent
Integrated Care Departments at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. This role may
suit an experienced General Practitioner looking for a new challenge
The successful applicant will work as an integral member of our
multidisciplinary team, comprising of nursing staff, advanced clinical
practitioners, junior and senior clinical fellows along with our substantive
Consultant Physicians in Emergency Medicine.
You will have the opportunity to manage a range of acute medical
problems and to develop your clinical leadership within these areas. This
includes developing urgent care pathways to complement those already in
operation and play a key role in the interface between primary and secondary
care.
The team works equally across 2 sites, with Pinderfields Hospital being
our Major Emergency Department and designated Major Trauma Unit. Both Dewsbury
and Pinderfields have 24/7 separate dedicated childrens EDs, and an Urgent
Integrated Care team consisting of GPs and ACPs.
