Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategically focused Director of Estates & Facilities to join us at a pivotal point in our development. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead the long-term planning and optimisation of our estate and infrastructure. This is a high-impact executive role, shaping and delivering the Trusts Estates Strategy aligned to our clinical ambitions and future service model. You will play a central role in ensuring our estate is safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose, while driving a Corporate Landlord approach to maximise utilisation and value.

Main duties of the job
You will:
- Advise the Board as the Trusts subject matter expert on estates and facilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the Estates Strategy, Delivery Plan and Capital Strategy
- Ensure safe, secure and fully compliant environments for patients and staff
- Oversee capital planning and programme delivery aligned to clinical priorities
- Manage PFI contracts to ensure performance, value and effective partnerships
- Drive sustainability and net zero initiatives across the estate
- Provide visible, values-led leadership to a large and diverse workforce
- Hold professional accountability for Estates (Hard FM), Facilities (Soft FM), Capital Projects, Property, Sustainability, PFI and Medical Devices
