Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategically focused Director of Estates & Facilities to join us at a pivotal point in our development. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead the long-term planning and optimisation of our estate and infrastructure. This is a high-impact executive role, shaping and delivering the Trusts Estates Strategy aligned to our clinical ambitions and future service model. You will play a central role in ensuring our estate is safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose, while driving a Corporate Landlord approach to maximise utilisation and value.

Main duties of the job

You will:

Advise the Board as the Trusts subject matter expert on estates and facilities
Lead the development and delivery of the Estates Strategy, Delivery Plan and Capital Strategy
Ensure safe, secure and fully compliant environments for patients and staff
Oversee capital planning and programme delivery aligned to clinical priorities
Manage PFI contracts to ensure performance, value and effective partnerships
Drive sustainability and net zero initiatives across the estate
Provide visible, values-led leadership to a large and diverse workforce
Hold professional accountability for Estates (Hard FM), Facilities (Soft FM), Capital Projects, Property, Sustainability, PFI and Medical Devices
