Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is embarking on a major digital transformation as we implement the award-winning Nervecentre Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. This programme will play a key role in improving the quality, safety and experience of patient care across the organisation.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Training Manager to join our experienced Programme Team. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the digital training workstream, working closely with clinical and operational colleagues across a range of the services.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will take a lead role in the development and implementation of the EPR Training Strategy and Plans. You will work closely with the Supplier, Programme Team, key stakeholders and the EPR Change Network to implement all aspects of the training lifecycle - analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation.

The postholder will be responsible for:

  • Recruitment, motivation, training, welfare and career development of the EPR Training Team.
  • Monitoring the training budget, facilities and resources.
  • Implementing a wide range of training approaches to meet the differing needs of our workforce, this will include but is not limited to, classroom, virtual and at the elbow training support.
  • Ensuring all staff are digitally competent and confident to embrace the new EPR technology, developing a range of digital literacy resources for our workforce.
  • Establishing processes to monitor the quality of training provided as well as a implementing a robust framework for reporting progress, challenges and risks aligned to the implementation plan.
  • Establishing processes for course booking management and ensuring a robust learning management system (LMS) is in place.
  • Management of the EPR training environment ensuring that learning reflects real-life scenarios.
  • Contributing to programme lessons learned, applying this learning to the future training programmes and optimisation of the EPR
