Foundation Pharmacist - Elderly Care

Job summary

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic foundation level pharmacist to join our elderly care pharmacy team to provide maternity leave cover for 12 months. This position is suitable for a newly registered pharmacist. You will work with our friendly team of pharmacists, technicians and support workers to provide a clinical pharmacy service to in-patients across our elderly care wards.

Main duties of the job

This role will be predominantly ward based, working as part of a team to complete medicines reconciliation, treatment reviews and discharge prescription validation for the elderly patients at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust. Training and support will be provided by our team of experienced pharmacists, technicians and support workers, which will enable the successful candidate to gain a thorough knowledge base and experience of clinical pharmacy. You will be supported through a structured induction process as well as provided with a range of training and development opportunities to build your foundation portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute to our dispensary late night and weekend service on a rotational basis.
