Job summary
An opportunity to work at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust for the procurement department as the E-Procurement Officer.
The post holder will carry out the role of Systems Administrator for procurement systems
Take responsibility for the coordination of the system and process requirements for ensuring accurate data to facilitate the processing of orders to ensure safe delivery of products and services to the Trust.
Foster a highly professional and responsive client service approach.
Proactively interfacing with other departments about requirements.
Seek to influence and encourage clients towards standardisation of products and waste reduction. Implement change to continuously improve the service and deliver better value.
Proactively undertake training on the procurement systems within the Trust.
Produce accurate reports and analyse data and external benchmarking information, highlighting areas for improvement.
Support colleagues to improve the service, enhance expertise and build capability.
To be responsible for purchasing activities which contribute to the provision of a cost effective and responsive professional purchasing and supplies service ensuring compliance with legislation, national and local policies, linking into specific project work within procurement.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure workload and performance for placing orders to suppliers through designated systems are undertaken in a timely fashion ensuring patient safety at all times and pursuing value for money.
- Ensure all staff have appropriate workload and information needed to undertake work.
- Manage and allocate duties to staff as appropriate as dictated by the system requirements.
- Carry out the role of Systems Administrator for procurement systems. To take the lead of system administration for the systems to ensure activities are compliant with the processes, governance, frameworks, and legislation. Co-ordinating contract / catalogue / system data where necessary.
- Provide accurate reports and analyse date as required highlighting issues to the team and system users. Ensure information is user friendly and accurate.
- Undertake system training which will be delivered on a 1:1 basis or small groups
