Here at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, we are a hardworking, enthusiastic bunch with a vacancy for a Registered Pharmacy Technician based in the inpatient dispensary.
This could be the perfect opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician looking for their next challenge or a Rotational Pharmacy Technician looking to expand their horizons and gain experience within the dispensary area.
Excellent training and development opportunities will be provided.
The successful candidate will demonstrate dynamism and commitment. They will be valued as a team player whilst assisting the Technicians in the running of the dispensary.
As a member of the Patient Services team, you would be encouraged to contribute to the forward planning of the department and help in the co-ordination of workflow whilst undertaking a wide range of duties including accuracy checking and dispensing.

The dispensary opening hours are 8:45am - 7pm and working hours for this post will be as below:
Monday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Tuesday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Wednesday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Thursday: 10:30am-7pm
Friday: 10:30am-7pm
There may be room for negotiation.
Main duties of the job
Undertake a wide range of duties within the inpatient dispensary including contributing to medicines management systems.
Contribute to the efficient delivery of the Pharmaceutical Service to Patients, Wards, and Departments both within the Trust and to other healthcare organisations.
Work alongside the band 5 lead technician to organise the workflow.
Manage the workload in the dispensary using the tracker system and delegate work where necessary.
Deal with queries relating to prescriptions.
Supervise the work of other staff in Dispensary Services and contribute to the development and training of other staff.
Accuracy check when necessary.
Complete stock counts to ensure stock levels are correct.
