We are pleased to offer a parttime opportunity for a Band 3 Generic Technical Instructor within Inpatient Therapy Team 4 (Stroke and Neurology).
As a valued member of our team, you will support therapists in the assessment and treatment of inpatients referred to Mid Yorkshire Therapy Services. Working under guidance, you will carry out delegated therapy tasks including (but not limited to):
Mobility practice and exercise programmes
Washing and dressing reviews
Supporting therapy staff on patient visits
Day today administrative tasks that assist with safe and timely patient discharge
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated, patient centred and eager to develop within stroke and neurological rehabilitation. You will be joining a friendly, supportive therapy team committed to delivering high quality care and promoting patient independence.
Main duties of the job
Support therapists in delivering rehabilitation programmes and therapeutic activities.

Engage patients in exercises and mobility practice, demonstrating and adjusting mobility aids and specialist equipment.
Contribute to assessments, provide feedback on patient progress and adapt interventions based on changing needs.
Plan and manage your own delegated caseload, working independently and as part of the team.
Carry out home visits to deliver equipment, review adaptations and assess functional needs.
Ensure all equipment is safe, clean and maintained; follow manual handling, infection control and lone working procedures.
Assist with group sessions, individual rehab programmes and nutrition/hydration support where required.
Identify and escalate changes in condition, risks or safeguarding concerns.
Complete administrative tasks such as stock control, note retrieval, appointment organisation and basic documentation.
