Job summary
Due to planned service expansion, we are now looking to recruit a number of CT radiographers - applications are warmly welcomed for both trainee (band 5 during preceptorship, progressing to band 6 upon completion) and experienced (band 6) roles.
Radiology at Mid Yorks provides a comprehensive imaging service across our four hospital sites - Pinderfields (Wakefield), Pontefract, Dewsbury, and the newly opened Wakefield Community Diagnostic Centre. A wide spectrum of clinical work is carried out across our 5 Siemens and 2 Canon CT scanners including a well-established stroke service, cardiac CT, CT colonography and Radiographer CT head reporting services.
We are a forward-thinking department led by a Consultant Radiographer that strives to be at the forefront of innovation by investing in the development of our workforce. As a teaching trust, we enjoy close links with higher education institutes and provide clinical placements for undergraduate students as well as apprentice Radiographers.
The successful applicant will be a flexible, enthusiastic and determined Radiographer who is able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, possess excellent communication skills and is committed to providing a high standard of care.
MYTT has excellent travel links to Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, and Bradford. We are close to both the M1 and the M62.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the CT team responsible for producing high quality CT images within the Radiology Service.
To perform a comprehensive range of CT procedures, trust wide.
To contribute towards the efficient deployment of resources enabling the patient to receive a safe, accurate and timely examination.
To assist in co-ordinating workflow demands within the CT departments across the trust.
To contribute towards finding solutions which will meet the rapidly changing demands on the radiology service.
To contribute to training/tutorial opportunities within the CT Department.
