Temporary Secondment Opportunity Operational Support (Womens Services)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our busy operational team within Womens Services, which includes Obstetrics, Maternity, and Gynaecology.
This temporary post offers an excellent chance to use your experience and skills within an expanding and innovative service. The post is a full-time position working 5 days.
Main duties of the job
The coordination of medical staffing Trust wide for the Womens Services- Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Lead on the operationalisation of medical staffing rotas, ensuring all clinical areas have appropriate medical cover.
Act as a point of contact for all medical staffing queries coming into the Womens Services.
Support Patient Service Managers to ensure resources are utilised effectively and efficiently to facilitate patient safety.
To utilise the e-rostering system and other medical staffing systems to ensure full-service provision at all times.
Liaising with consultants, medical directorate and managers about medical staffing issues, requirements and problems and working towards solutions.
To support the Patient Service Manager in ensuring value for money and quality of service with regards to locum bookings.
Manage sensitive issues both over the telephone and face to face with regard to staff and Trust information ensuring confidentiality at all levels is maintained.
Work in conjunction with the College Tutor to develop the local induction for junior doctors, registrars and locums within the division.
Lead on weekly Roster check meeting to ensure that medical staffing and nursing provision are reviewed ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Securing staff and moving resources to creating additional capacity for Antenatal and Gynaecology clinics.
Manage the maintenance of records for WLI /additional enhanced rate tracker.
