We have 1 part time position working as follows -

Week 1 - 2 days - 15 hours Week 2 - 3 days - 22.5 hours Over a 24 hour period.

Main duties of the job

Patient Transport

Patient transport by wheelchair, trolley or bed safely between wards, operating theatres, X-Ray, Radiology, discharge and emergency departments in a timeous manner.

Collect and deliver specimens, bloods and samples to the relevant areas, Pathology laboratories in a safe and timeous manner.

Assist in rapid patient movement during crash calls or urgent situations i.e. major haemorrhages and fire alarm procedures.

Movement of deceased patients to the mortuary.

Equipment & Supplies Changing of medical gas cylinders in manifolds rooms as required.

Delivery of all medical air (BOC) to relevant areas as required.

Undertake the collection of refuse, cardboard, clinical waste etc. within the Trusts buildings and segregation of the same for disposal and transfer to respective areas.

Disposal and bailing of waste and cardboard using compactors and bailer. Sorting of mail and delivery throughout Trust buildings.

Deliver goods, stock and equipment from receipt and distribution in a timeous manner.

Responsible for the distribution of non-stock items/goods to wards/departments, ensuring that a signature is obtained on delivery on an ad-hoc.

Delivery of medical equipment (e.g. beds, trolleys, monitors oxygen cylinders and any other medical equipment) as required.

Undertake all ward/office moves within trust buildings (i.e. furniture, equipment, medical equipment) as required.
