Job summary
Are you passionate about supporting staff through education and supporting the development of our non-medical workforce? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health care worker to join our established Award Winning Professional Development & Education Unit (PDEU) at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, as an Assistant Practice Educator. This exciting 12 month fixed term/secondment opportunity will allow for the successful candidates to fullfill their career aspirations within education. The ideal candidates must be able to show evidence of high standards of practice an understanding of the education and assessment of competence within healthcare. Furthermore, an ability to prioritise and manage their own workload with the support of the Practice Educators and Lead Clinical Educators. The post holder will support a range of portfolios and deliver education and training programmes to a range of learners. Being a catalyst for change is essential to implement continuous improvement of current and new process, both within the PDEU team and external teams. A positive problem-solving approach is essential to the success of the PDEU and MYTT teams.
Main duties of the job
This role supports the Professional Development and Education Team (PDEU) in ensuring high quality multi professional learning environments within the Trust for the unregistered nursing workforce. The role will be paramount in ensuring trainees and learners are supported in the workplace. The post holder will be required to work with different services across the Trust to deliver training and support to learners/non-registered workforce in both the clinical and classroom environment. Key requirements include: -To support the Professional Development and Education Unit (PDEU) in facilitating and delivering induction and training programmes for Registered and Non-Registered staff. -Providing in situ clinical support to appropriate staff groups to assist in achieving competencies and developing confidence in their roles. -Provide Pastoral support to registered and non-registered learners to ensure wellbeing is supported.
