Job summary

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust has an exciting opportunity for a MRI Senior Radiographer to fulfil a key role within our busy MRI department.

This role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with a focus on continuous self-improvement and helping others. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of good MRI radiographic experience and evidence of participating in out-of-hours radiography service. You will have good team membership skills and the ability to act diplomatically in sensitive situations involving patients or staff. There is a need to be punctual and to demonstrate outstanding time management skills.

We are a multi-site trust and as part of your role you will be required to work across any site (including Pinderfields, Pontefract, Dewsbury and Wakefield CDC) within the Trust. We offer a regular staff shuttle service between all 3 sites for staff convenience and ease.

The Trust has recently built a new unit, specifically for the MRI department, housing a new 3T scanner to compliment our Siemens Aera and three Philips Ambition scanners all equipped with Smartspeed AI.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the MRI team responsible for producing high quality MRI images within the Radiology Service

To perform a comprehensive range of MRI procedures Trust wide.

To contribute towards the efficient deployment of resources, enabling the patient to receive a safe, accurate and timely examination

To assist in co-ordinating workflow demands within the MRI departments across the Trust

To contribute towards finding solutions which will meet the rapidly changing demands on the radiology service

To contribute to training/tutorial opportunities within the MRI Department.
