Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to work within the Adult Community Services (ACS) Division of the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust (MYTT).

The Clinical Professional AHP Lead for Integration and rehabilitation has operational accountability and responsibility for the development and delivery of AHPs within the ACS Division in Wakefield.

The post holder is pivotal to ensuring safe, timely and compassionate care to patients and service users across Wakefield.

They will be a key member of the Nursing, AHPs and Operations senior leadership team within ACS reporting to their respective Divisional Director and deputising where appropriate. The post holder will also be expected to formulate plans and work cohesively with the MYTT Director of AHPs and the Deputy Director of Operations for Therapy and Psychological Services across the acute and community Divisions to develop effective services and deliver the NHS 10 Year Plan to the population of Wakefield.

The post holder is expected to work autonomously and use a high degree of initiative to innovate and develop services whilst working collaboratively with functions across the organisation. The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate highly effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including those across the wider ICS. This will include the established AHP teams in the community.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting the Clinical Director and Divisional Directors of Quality and Operations, the post holder will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to and delivering the AHP operational and strategic business planning
  • Oversee the delivery of evidence-based, responsive, and efficient community therapy services.
  • Be accountable for AHP services quality improvement, financial management, and workforce modelling and planning, ensuring delivery against agreed quality metrics and performance criteria in line with regulatory frameworks.
  • High quality AHP leadership to ensure outstanding quality patient care
  • Developing and delivery of the clinical strategy
  • Engaging and working effectively with a range of partner organisations (e.g. Primary Care, neighbouring NHS Trusts, Voluntary sector, District Councils, the general public) to support the successful delivery of the Divisional services
  • Leading transformation programmes including the ability to influence and contribute to system pathways and new models of care.
  • Working closely with the MYTT Director of AHPs and the Deputy Director of Operations for Therapy and Psychological Services across the acute and community Divisions
