Job summary
Here at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Mammographer/ Assistant Practitioner for a key role within our Breast Imaging department in Radiology.
We welcome applications from individuals who are eager to develop excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and who are committed to continuous self-improvement while supporting others within our department.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced mammographers as an essential member of the team. Whilst appropriate qualifications in mammography are desirable, a training post will be considered.
The successful candidate will be provided with specialist mammography training to achieve the Mammography Associate Apprenticeship award through an approved provider. For those who are on Band 3 or below this post will be a Band 3 Training post with progression to Band 4 on completion.

Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the breast imaging team responsible for producing high quality images within the service.
To perform a range of radiographic examinations identified in the Scope of Practice for Assistant Practitioners (mammography) under the supervision of a state registered radiographer qualified in mammography.
