Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an HNC or ONC (or have equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, along with significant post-qualification experience in the field. In addition, we require candidates to hold specialist qualifications to Authorised Person level in a relevant engineering discipline. Youll be part of a professional estates team delivering a broad range of operational maintenance services across the Trusts Retained Estate and elements of our PFI facilities. Working under the guidance of the Estates Operational Manager, you'll help ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs), and best practices. Please note: This role involves participation in an on-call rota to provide emergency cover outside of normal working hours. Main duties of the job
As an Estates Shift Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality operational maintenance across the Trusts Retained Estate and selected PFI facilities. You will report to the Estates Operational Manager and contribute to ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, HTMs, and best industry practices. Carry out reactive and planned maintenance tasks across electrical and associated building systems. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards, HTMs, and safety protocols. Support compliance audits, workforce planning protocols, and Estates Guidance Notices. Contribute to the departments ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Manage and deliver minor works projects across the estate, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Support capital project delivery when required.
