Job summary
This replacement post is offered on a full time (10 PA) basis although less than full time applications will be considered. Duties will be based primarily on our Pinderfields hospital site in Wakefield although all our medical staff are involved in delivering care to patients on all our 3 hospital sites. Ability to work from home for part of the week for in-hours work is available. On-call work can be undertaken from home.
Main duties of the job
This post provides a unique opportunity to join our innovative and expanding infection department. We welcome applicants with either CCT in Microbiology or joint CCT in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. This is a replacement post offered at 10 PAs full time, though part time applicants with pro - rata on call will be considered. The post holder will be responsible for contributing to our 24-hour Clinical Infection Service. Infection services in the trust encompass a wide range of complex and interesting cases including The Mid Yorkshire Regional Adult Burns Centre and Regional Childrens Burns Unit and Yorkshire Regional Spinal Injuries Centre. The Trust is developing a range of clinical care services relevant to Infectious Diseases and Microbiology dual trained consultants, with one such consultant already in post. Our Trust recently attained Teaching status.
