Job summary
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce the introduction of these new roles aimed at doctors who are passionate about their practice and their career, and those who require temporary posts outside traditional models. Our posts will combine education and career development with practical patient-facing care. They would particularly suit individuals looking to increase their anaesthetic experience prior to applying for specialty training or at the end of training prior to applying for consultant posts.
Main duties of the job
Provision of anaesthetic care, both acute and elective, with responsibility for the management of patients with acute and chronic conditions. Area of work will depend on an individuals skill-set and levels of competency. On-call for obstetric anaesthesia, critical care or Acute on-call depending on level of experience and competency. Involvement in specialty and cross-specialty multi-disciplinary teams and meetings. Involvement in relevant administration duties. Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate. Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities.
