Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join the Children's Care Group Continuous Service Improvement Team. The role will support the care group with the implementation of projects determined by the priorities of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The Project Support Officer will provide essential administrative, coordination, and support functions to assist the Continuous Service Improvement lead in the successful delivery of projects. This role will ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the team and maintaining effective project management processes within the care group.

  • Previous experience of working in a large complex organisation
  • Significant experience of working within a demanding/high intensity administrative setting
  • Experience of working for administrative functions on projects
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and working with databases

Desirable

  • Previous NHS/Social Services experience
  • Previous experience of working with children, young people and families
  • Experience of proactively challenging staff and influencing them to change
  • Experience of assisting on project planning/management

Knowledge

Essential

  • Able to be use own initiative and judgement to analyse and resolve problems
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Able to deliver deadlines on a wide range of administrative/project processes
