Main duties of the job

Deliver therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care to individuals with a range of mental health conditions.

Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk management, and care planning in partnership with service users and carers.

Promote recovery, independence, and wellbeing through meaningful engagement and therapeutic interventions.

Administer medication safely and monitor its effectiveness, reporting concerns appropriately.

Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional, legal, and safeguarding standards.

Support crisis management and contribute to creating a safe, supportive ward environment.
-
Engage in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
This role provides an opportunity to develop core clinical skills within an acute inpatient setting, building confidence in decision-making, therapeutic communication, and collaborative care delivery.
