Do you enjoy gardening and have a few hours a week to spare?
We're currently looking for a volunteer Gardener to help care for and develop our outdoor spaces. It's a great opportunity to get outside, meet new people, and make a real difference within our organisation.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will include:
Supporting our wards to develop their own garden spaces to become a more therapeutic and recovery focused area.
Watering and feeding plants trees and shrubs
Hand weeding, hoeing, staking, deadheading, and cutting back in borders
Maintaining good access e.g. path maintenance, sweeping slabs
Bed renovation and grounds development
General maintenance e.g. Removal of debris, litter picking, power hosing
