Due to career progression an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neurorehabilitation Service. Working as a Senior Therapy Assistant; you will work under the guidance of the inter-disciplinary team (IDT) to contribute to the delivery of services within our 8 bedded in patient unit and our early supported discharge pathway across Doncaster and Rotherham community.

If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.

The Senior Therapy Assistant will contribute to the assessment, implementation and delivery of care within a multi-professional team.
Will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice.
Will support the qualified multi-professional team and contribute to the implementation of health and social care programmes primarily within an inpatient setting but with the expectation to work within community settings also.
Will coordinate the work of the Rehabilitation Assistants in regards to group activities, 1:1 activities and adherence to therapy care plans.
Will work autonomously when delivering rehabilitation programs with patients in a range of different environments (ward, gym, community settings).
