Job summary
The post holder to deliver managerial and clinical oversight of the HDU.
We are delighted to announce a new 16 bed service based in Doncaster that will welcome patients from Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
The unit with support patients with complex mental health with a focus on rehabilitation, patients may be in the service for up to 12 months and through a multi-professional approach will receive recovery focussed care.

Main duties of the job
o The post holder will provide professional, managerial and robust clinical leadership to a specified ward area.
o The post holder is responsible for promoting and assuring robust risk assessment and management processes.
o The post holder will provide financial management within the constraints of the identified budget, as directed by the Matron.
o The post holder will actively support and participate in the integration of a whole system approach with multi-disciplinary working at all times.

- Evidence of specialised continued professional development (level 6 or above) in clinical practice
Experience

- Extensive post registration experience of working with adults with acute mental health needs.
- Experience in using psychological and other therapeutic interventions with up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Highly developed clinical reasoning & decision-making skills.
- Sound knowledge of clinical risk assessment and formulation of risk management plans.
- Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Care Programme Approach
