We are looking to recruit a permanent Band 8b Practitioner Psychologist who is enthusiastic and highly motivated to join our Neurodiversity Directorate. You will support our mental health wards and community pathways by offering specialist case supervision and consultation. There will be opportunities to offer training to staff and support with organisational change.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the clinical leadership of a new consultation and supervision pathway which will include incorporating al aspects of clinical governance, and provision of high-quality clinical supervision.
The post holder will be responsible for the systematic development and provision of a highly specialist autism consultation offer for the mental health teams and wards in the North Lincs area..
The post holder will develop and provide support that meets the agreed neurodiversity service priorities. This will include training/supervision of other team members and the provision of consultancy and supervision work for the assurance of improving the quality of care our mental health professionals offer our autistic community.
The post holder will provide consultation around risk assessments and advice on risk managements, and the provision of psychological advice and consultation to others involved in patients care.
The post holder will also supervise and support other neurodiversity practitioners and colleagues with governance responsibility for monitoring quality of practice.
The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Psychologist, Lead Nurse and Service Manager for the Adult Neurodiversity Pathway in contributing to the strategic development of the directorate.

Essential
- Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical /counselling/forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
- Multi-modality psychotherapeutic training relevant to adult mental health such as DBT, CBT, CAT, Psychodynamic, Family and Systemic therapy
- Full accreditation and registration with the relevant professional body related to the psychotherapeutic training e.g., BABCP/UKCP/ACP/AFT or other
- Formal accredited training in supervision of other psychological professionals
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- Significant experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
