Clinical Team Manager Band 7
North Locality Adult Community Mental Health , Rotherham
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated professional to the role of Clinical Team Manager who will be responsible for the operational management of the team with sound clinical oversight over the service.
The post holder will ensure that all staff within the service delivers the highest standard of evidence based practice to service users/carers and ensure the service continues to meet local and national activity and quality targets. Responsibilities will include the management of a busy multi-disciplinary team and developing new ways of delivering services as an Adult Community Mental Health Team.
You will work closely with the South Locality Clinical Team Manager and Locality wide clinical leads to support the Service Manager to deliver meaningful community mental health services to the population of Rotherham .
You will reflect and role model the Trust values in all aspects of your role.
Main duties of the job
The service provides community assessment and support to adults with a mental health problem within the Rotherham area.
- To provide support to the service manager to meet the aims and objectives of the service including deputising and delegated responsibilities.
- To provide support to the service manager in the effective day to day management of the team within the resources available and agreed governance frameworks.
- To review staffing levels and skill mix as necessary.
- To be responsible for the leadership, mentorship and support of staff on a daily basis
- To manage and provide management / clinical supervision to staff under your line management
- Work within the infection control agenda to improve standards
- Improving environments for patients and providing clinical oversight of the service.
- Work with patients and their carer/relative in addressing concerns by building closer relationships
- To promote partnership working with patients, carers and stakeholders both internal and external.
- You must demonstrate a flexible approach evolving around the needs of service users, their families and significant others. You will be responsible for ensuring the team meets the standards expected and delivers a high quality of care
