Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational leader in the role of Interim Deputy Care Group Director for the Rotherham Care Group. Whilst a clinical background is not essential for this post, a thorough understanding of the service area is required.

You will work closely with the Interim Care Group Director in a strong multi-disciplinary senior leadership team to ensure outstanding care and efficient service delivery across mental health services in Rotherham.

Main duties of the job

The overriding purpose of the Deputy Care Group Director is to support the provision of the highest quality, safe patient care through professional, operational, strategic leadership and management actions, creating a culture of continuous improvement.

The post holds management responsibility for the operational and performance management of the Care Group, on behalf of the Director. The post is responsible for ensuring that all services are focussed on ensuring the most effective and efficient use of resources to deliver a high-quality service that achieves and exceeds the required performance targets.

The Deputy Care Group Director will have lead responsibility for the multi-disciplinary directorate management teams within the Care Group, ensuring that the directorates are clear and visible and have strong clinical and professional leadership.

There is a requirement for this post holder to deputise for the Director across all service lines within the Care Group, and to act as the lead for cross directorate issues and projects as required.
