Job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for a 9mth fixed term to take up an exciting and innovative post to support the needs of the local population living with a wide range ofmental health difficulties. The role holder will provide operational management to RDaSH mental health roles acrossthe Primary Care Networks (PCNs). Within the primary care setting, the role holder will work in a collaborative andmulti-agency way and develop multiagency and multidisciplinary operational frameworks and structures.The post will facilitate the interface between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services to provide expertoperational and clinical leadership and knowledge to the local Primary Care Teams, for staff, patients and carers. The role will workin conjunction with a large variety of roles including RDaSH roles: Clinical Leads, Service Manager, PCN leads and the Community Mental Health Teams alongside a variety of other stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the operational management of the Primary Care Mental Health Hubs and to support Transformationand service development.
Provide strong leadership for all staff within the All-Age services by
- Promoting and maintaining a quality environment
- Ensuring agreed standards of care are achieved
- Improve patient experience, andachieve all performance targets relating to the teams
- Effective communication, risk management and considered risk taking.
To provide expert clinical and management advice and guidance for all staff within the primary care mentalhealth teams.
To focus care on Quality and Clinical Assurance as outlined in the key roles and responsibilities for clinicalservices.
To be responsible for coordinating staff training to achieve quality and evidence basedinterventions basedupon a skills/training analysis. To arrange and coordinate training for staff on various relevant clinical skills.
To work closely with local GP surgeries to ensure good working partnerships during development of the PrimaryCare Mental Health Hubs and to support transitions for patients with a stable mental health presentation requiringphysical health monitoring due to prescribed medication for mental health conditions
To undertake investigations in line with the relevant organisational policy (e.g. complaints,Incidents, SeriousIncidents, Structured Judgement Reviews, HR investigations).
