This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive, and compassionate finance professional to lead the Financial Management function and join the senior leadership team at RDaSH. The Assistant Director of Finance will be a senior leader in the organisation and the local finance system. Working closely with key stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide a high quality financial management service to enable colleagues throughout the Trust to do the very best for our patients. This is a core role that helps shape the strategic direction of the finance function and the wider organisation.

Main duties of the job
This senior role will provide leadership and direction to the Financial Management function in RDaSH and ensure the team supports the Trust to achieve its 28 Promises and its short term and long term financial plans. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, this role is responsible for:
- the delivery of all statutory returns and monitoring information (alongside the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Services),
- ensuring there is an effective budgetary control and monitoring framework in place,
- developing and maintaining robust systems and policies to enable timely financial planning and performance reporting to meet internal and regulatory requirements
- managing the Financial Management team on a daily basis and providing leadership, direction, motivation and support
- actively participating in the staff development of the Directorate through engagement with Future Focused Finance and One NHS Finance communities.
