Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Physio to join our friendly dynamic Neuro Rehab team at Tickhill Road Hospital. You will be working on our Neuro Rehab inpatient ward to delivery high quality neuro physio assessment and rehabilitation to patients experiencing a range of neurological condition and injuries including traumatic and acquired brain injuries, MS, Guillain Barre and spinal cord pathologies. The service has a strong MDT of Occupational therapists, Speech and Language therapists, Psychologists, Neuro Specialist Nurses and Rehab Assistants.
You will be joining the service at an exciting time as we evaluate our service model and explore options for developing community and day-hospital based Neuro Rehabilitation. You will be involved in the formulation and realisation of this service development as it progresses.
The wider Neuro Services portfolio in RDaSH offers neuro rehabilitation services across Rotherham and Doncaster, with opportunities for services for in-services training, senior and peer supervision. You will also have responsibility to supervise students and delegate work to more junior staff.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, forward thinking, adaptable Neuro Physiotherapist who is able to autonomously manage a caseload of patients with a range of neurological illness and disability. They will be registered with the HCPC and have significant post qualification experience within neurological rehabilitation.

- Providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation to neurological patients.
- Close MDT working
- Supporting collaborative goal setting and discharge planning
- Working autonomously to manage a caseload
- Supporting the Clinical Lead in the delivery of Trust objectives and services development
- Providing training and supervision to Band 5's, Rehab assistance and students
- Contributing to in-service training programme
There will be regular delegation to rehabilitation assistants and supervision of rehabilitation programmes. You will also be required to assist the Team Leader and Physio Lead to monitor service performance and develop the service to meet the changing needs of pathways.
We encourage and support staff to continue to develop, with access to in house and external training.
