Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Staff Nurse to join Danescourt Residential Home.

Danescourt is a Forensic Residential Care Home close to Doncaster town centre. Danescourt has 5 en-suite bedrooms with large communal spaces as well as an annex with it's own living room function (currently under review) for males with a Learning Disability who have historically presented a risk to others, who may have ongoing supervision requirements under the MOJ.

The residents of Danescourt are encouraged to develop their independence, live fulfilled meaningful lives with the support of a staff team who ensure robust risk management.

We are looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse or an experienced Nurse with significant experience of supporting people with a Learning Disability and Autism.

The team consists of a Registered Manager, Staff Nurses and Support Workers who work across the 24 hour period.

The post holder will be based within the Doncaster Care Group of Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Foundation Trust and Danescourt sits within the portfolio of Forensic and community learning disability services.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Registered Manager to ensure effective leadership within the service.

You will be a Registered Nurse and act as a Named Nurse for identified individuals within the home.

You will ensure safe medication management as well as the formulation and ongoing review of risk assessments, care plans which will be developed alongside the individual.

You will work with the residents of the home to support them to live fulfilled and meaningful lives whilst increasing their independence.
