Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service. The post holder will bring an exceptional level of expertise and clinical leadership to the team; leading on future service developments, strategy, governance and research initiatives.

Main duties of the job

  • As a Nurse Consultant you will work autonomously managing your own workload whilst continuing to develop and apply your knowledge and skills to a broad range of clinically and professionally challenging and complex situations. You will provide expert knowledge to address the needs of people requiring treatment for their eating disorders and comorbid difficulties.

    There will be the expectation that you will have direct patient contact for >50% of your job plan providing appropriate intervention to a patient caseload within the speciality from diagnosis throughout the treatment trajectory. You will support and inspire colleagues and enhance the development of clinical practice. The post holder will be a senior clinical leader within the Trust and as such will undertake some work which cuts across other clinical areas.

    If you are a registered nurse with advanced level experience of mental health care, hold a non-medical prescribing qualification, and you wish to utilise and develop your skills to lead strategic developments that will monitor and improve the quality of health care and the effectiveness of practice, then we would welcome your application to join us.
