Job summary
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking individual to join the South Yorkshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism (MHLDA) Provider Collaborative Programme Management Team.
Our Collaborative brings together four trusts to work at scale to benefit the population of South Yorkshire and membership comprises:
- South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, SWYPFT
- Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, SHSC
- Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, RDaSH
- Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, SCFT
We are ambitious and want to significantly improve our MHLDA offer to the local population and for the South Yorkshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism community to be well regarded as a great place to work.
This role is vitally important, and the successful candidate will have the necessary skills to successfully manage programmes of varying complexity. We will agree the portfolio with the successful candidate following interview.
We work closely with many other partners and stakeholders across health and care and are aiming for co-production with people to be central to everything we do. Therefore, you will need to be innovative, flexible and ambitious for the people we serve, with a willingness to engage and involve people with lived experience, carers and staff in the changes and decisions we make.
Main duties of the job
Leading the development and strategic direction of a programme of work, on a small number of specified priority areas for the Provider Collaborative (transformation priorities will vary over time, but currently include work on neurodiversity assessment, eating disorders, inpatient quality, urgent and emergency care, with a specific focus on health-based place of safety, and learning disability improvement projects).
Maintaining oversight of the programme, through the development of effective programme management systems, processes and procedures, including the identification and mitigation of risk.
Leading the implementation of agreed deliverables, assuring colleagues and Board that transformational funding has been used effectively to deliver value for money.
Keeping abreast of national guidance and developments in MHLDA and providing expert advice to key stakeholders and partners as required.
Line management and objective setting of the programme team including Project Support and Administrative Support.
Manage the governance and reporting arrangements of the workstream programmes ensuring regular highlight and exception reporting to the Provider Collaborative Operational Group, the ICB Strategic Delivery Group and wider partners.
Identifying and sharing best practice across South Yorkshire and beyond in order to support continuous improvement and high quality outcomes.
