Job summary
The post holder will work at New Beginnings twelve bedded inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification unit in Doncaster and across community services.
As part of exciting new developments within the service, we are seeking to recruit highly motivated and committed staff to work within this recovery orientated service.
We are seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The post holder will be responsible for admitting and providing ongoing care alongside the multi-disciplinary team for patients on the inpatient detoxification unit along with providing interventions in the Aspire community services.
Aspire Drug and Alcohol Services provide a comprehensive range of community and inpatient interventions for Drug and Alcohol users, their families, and carers to support rehabilitation and optimal recovery from dependence.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the nursing team and medical team to provide safe, good quality care for people across Aspire and entering the inpatient detoxification unit at New Beginnings, which is a twelve bed unit for adults. Your role will include admitting patients onto the unit. This includes completing a full history, physical examination and prescribing interventions including detoxification regimes. You will also be responsible for following up patients in the unit and along with the team managing any complications that may arise including medical emergencies.
There is an expectation that staff will be able to work across all of the key delivery areas within the service from time to time. The post holder will be expected to work core hours to meet the needs of New Beginnings which is a 24/7 inpatient detoxification service.
