Job summary
The post holder will provide comprehensive, effective and professional support to build a new RDaSH website. The post holder will write accessible content, amend text, images, input links to be uploaded to the website. The main part of the role is working with services and corporate colleagues to gather information, write it in an easy to read style and uploading it on to the new website.
The post holder will also support the introduction of a new staff app, to be launched in late 2023.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work on their own initiative and make decisions within their remit, referring to their line manager as appropriate. Responding to changing priorities and operational demands as identified by the Web/Communications Teams.
The role requires the individual to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide high quality individualised service to the Trust and its stakeholders.
The post holder will be predominantly office based and undertake the following activities:
- To operate IT equipment to upload accessible content on to the app/website.
- To work with staff across the trust to gather details for the website/app and write the content in an accessible, digitally SEO optimised format. All content must comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. The post holder will seek approval of copy and upload the content on to the web/app pages.
- To effectively communicate with clients to determine their requirements in order to place information and images on to the website/app.
- Deal with potentially difficult situations with clients, providing advice and recommendations in a professional matter which is reflective of RDaSH.
- To be aware that the Communications Team deals with sensitive information and to keep it confidential.
- The post holder will work across the RDaSH locations, when necessary, to take photos for use on the website and in other communications seeking authorisation from clients as necessary.
